As a community health clinic, part of our mission is to educate our community about the importance of oral health. Since there is not a cohesive, well-established healthcare system we believe in collaborative action to improve health inequalities. We pride ourselves in knowing that we are the only local dental clinic intentionally educating people through the delivery of bilingual dental education workshops.

from low-income families to date
Our dental education workshops cover an overview of oral health, oral hygiene
techniques, diet and nutrition best for oral health, preventive measures and habits,
addressing common oral concerns, interactive activities, a Q&A session, and the
distribution of educational materials and resources about our clinic.
By promoting daily dental hygiene and routine check-ups, we strive to diminish the risk of painful and costly dental afflictions and alleviate the burden on emergency rooms in the years to come within our community.
Contact us at info@mercydentalmissions.org to host a dental education workshop in English or Spanish for your organization.
We visit schools, daycares, and summer camps in low-income areas to educate our youth with an interactive skit from one of our volunteer dentists.
This initiative aims to encourage children to understand the importance of dental care and preventive practices that lay the foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits.
We are frequently involved in resource fairs and local community events to bring
awareness of oral health's importance and our mission to close the dental care gap.
If you see the MDM's booth, don't forget to stop by for a free toothbrush and say hi!
We have partnered with various community organizations to deliver dental education workshops. Since the beginning of 2022, we have been able to deliver nearly 2 dozen dental workshops and pass out 1,150 dental kits to low-income families with the financial support of the Madison Christian Giving Fund and the Cap Times Kids Fund.
Can we count on you for a contribution to support our dental education workshops, and continue to educate those in need about the importance of oral health?
If you are interested in volunteering, please take a look at our volunteer page for our open opportunites.
